Coalition Life was born on the sidewalk in the city’s Central West End in 2011. Emerging from prayer groups as a part of 40 Days for Life, we grew to offer professional pro-life sidewalk counseling and the promotion of life-saving options for women at all hours that this abortion facility was open.

In 2022, we celebrated the landmark Dobbs decision that overturned the precedent set by Roe v. Wade and pushed the abortion debate back to the states. Because of the tireless work of Coalition Life and numerous other pro-life groups and legislators, Missouri became the first abortion-free state in the country just 15 minutes after the Dobbs decision was released.

Sadly, Missouri voters narrowly approved Amendment 3 in November 2024, establishing a right to abortion in the Missouri state constitution. Missouri judges have followed up by exempting abortion facilities from licensing requirements, allowing them to legally perform unsafe surgical abortions on vulnerable mothers.
It is again up to our sidewalk counselors meeting mothers at the gates and the team in our pregnancy center providing life-affirming support to change the minds of these mothers before they make an irreversible decision between life and death.
