Brian Westbrook

Executive Directorand FounderCoalition Life

In 2011, Brian left his job as an engineer to start a 40 Days for Life campaign and life-saving sidewalk counseling at the gates of the St. Louis abortion facility. Since then, Coalition Life has expanded and now engages in sidewalk counseling in Fairview Heights, Flossmoor, and Carbondale, Illinois in addition to a pregnancy resource center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Brian is also an innovative leader, sought after speaker, and strategic advisor to Pro-Life leaders around the country. Brian has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Federalist, the Daily Signal, and in numerous articles and interviews in local media outlets. He lives in St. Louis with his wife, Marisa, and their six children.

Rev. Michael Salemink

Rev. Michael W. Salemink began serving as executive director of Lutherans For Life in January 2016. He received a B.A. in Theology from Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill., in 1999 and a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., in 2003. He has served as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Webster, Minn., (2003-2005) and as associate pastor of St. James Lutheran Church and School in Lafayette, Ind. (2005-2015).

Pastor Salemink and his wife, Heather, have been married since 2000 and reside in St. Louis, Mo., where they attend Immanuel Lutheran Church, Olivette, with their three sons: Christian, Nathan, and Luke. Pastor Salemink writes regularly and speaks nationwide equipping Lutherans to be Gospel-motivated voices for life.

Mary Kate Zander

Prior to her work in the pro-life movement, Mary Kate was an operative and communications advisor on numerous state and federal political campaigns. She has been quoted in the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the New Yorker, the Washington Post, and has been featured on WGN, ABC-7, CBS, and Fox News, among others. In the past few years alone, Mary Kate has spoken before thousands on the need for abortion restrictions in Illinois. She has presented to law and medical students at Northwestern University and to undergraduates at the University of Chicago, where she debated Professor Geoffrey Stone, who was a clerk on the U.S. Supreme Court when Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.

Zip Rzeppa

Zip, a high energy sportscaster from Fort Wayne, Indiana would become the highest-paid local TV personality in the history of St. Louis. In addition to 19 years in tv broadcasting Zip founded Catholic apostolate of Mater Media, which uses multimedia platforms to share the Gospel.

Zip has authored several books, is a sought after speaker, and uses his ministry to highlight the themes of overcoming the darkness and living in the joy of the Gospel.

Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison

Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison is the 13th president of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, a confessional church body of 6000 congregations across the US and partnerships with Lutheran Church bodies in 37 countries around the world. A pastor since 1991, he’s served parishes in Iowa, Indiana, and Missouri. Harrison is active in the pro-life movement, a frequent participant and speaker at pro-life marches. In 2020 he was one of a select group of pro-life leaders asked to take part in the March for Life in our nation’s capital during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Harrison and his wife, Kathy are members of Village Lutheran Church in Ladue, Mo., where he also serves as assistant pastor. They have two married sons and one granddaughter. Harrison is also an avid bluegrass banjo player!

Reagan Barklage

Reagan Barklage grew as an Air Force brat and graduated from the University of Missouri after studying Journalism. From a young age, Reagan remembers her family praying outside of abortion facilities. Years later she was exposed to the graphic truth of abortion by stumbling upon a diagram of a partial-birth abortion and experienced a gut-wrenching passion to respond. During her studies at Mizzou, she founded Mizzou Students for Life.

Since graduation, Reagan has worked full-time in the pro-life movement, dedicating her life to ending abortion. Reagan has been featured in Glamour, LifeSiteNews, the HBO documentary Abortion: Stories Women Tell, the Wall Street Journal, PBS Newshour, and other media outlets. She has spoken at numerous pro-life rallies and banquets. Reagan currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband and three children. She serves the Pro-Life Generation as Students for Life’s National Field Director.

Kent Pollman

Fr. Kent Pollman is associate pastor at Ascension Catholic Church in Chesterfield, Missouri. Ordained in 2016, Fr. Pollman has served faithfully as a priest for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and is a strong advocate for life.
