The Downtown location has been the site of numerous reports of dangerous conditions and harmful treatment of women.

St. Louis, MO —December 2, 2025 — Coalition Life, the nation’s largest pro-life professional sidewalk counseling organization, has released a scathing video proving negligence and abuse at Planned Parenthood in Chicago. With the release of the video, Coalition Life announced it will begin sidewalk counseling operations this week at the Downtown (Near North) Chicago Planned Parenthood, Elizabeth Cohn Morris Clinic at 1200 N La Salle Dr, Chicago, IL 60610, the site where the footage was captured.

This decision to officially begin professional sidewalk counseling at the location follows a period of trial sidewalk counseling at the site, where sidewalk counselors captured video of a Planned Parenthood client who was visibly in pain and pleading for help being turned out on the street by Planned Parenthood staff. 

“We knew that Near North Chicago was a site where women were being victimized because of on-the-ground reports we had from volunteers,” said Coalition Life Executive Director Brian Westbrook. “We tested the site and gathered all of the data and testimonials from our staff, including this disturbing video of medical malpractice and abuse. With all of the information, it was clear that our compassionate sidewalk counselors are desperately needed in Chicago.”

Professional sidewalk counselors will offer help and resources to women on the sidewalk near the clinic during operating hours. They provide a lifeline for support for women and a valuable witness to the issues and dangers that come from the facility.

The video, released with the announcement, clearly shows a woman in excruciating pain being ejected from Planned Parenthood without the care she needs. Workers deny her cries for help as they put her out on the street without medical care or referral for support.

“This sad moment is hard to watch, yet it reaffirms the importance of the work our sidewalk counselors do every day,” said Westbrook. “They are the last chance for women seeking help and a critical support for those that are failed by these facilities.”
