St. Louis, MO — December 4, 2025 — Coalition Life, the nation’s largest pro-life professional sidewalk counseling organization, has released footage of a hearse pulling into the Fairview Heights, IL Planned Parenthood. The video contains footage of a Coalition Life sidewalk counselor engaging with the hearse driver upon its arrival. The driver clarified that they were not there for pregnancy related services, and were instead there “picking up someone to take them to the funeral home.”

Moments later, the woman driving the hearse entered Planned Parenthood and exited carrying the remains of an aborted child in a grocery bag. 

Following the incident, Coalition Life staff called Lake View Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights and confirmed that they had indeed picked up an aborted child from Planned Parenthood on October 31st.

The child was likely killed after 20 weeks due to a diagnosed “fetal abnormality,” which is a reason regularly given by this specific Planned Parenthood location. The former Planned Parenthood Chief Medical Officer, Colleen McNicholas, once said during an official hearing in St. Louis that some pregnancies would simply “never be viable.”  She went on to explain that viability is complicated and may even include the mother’s willingness to carry the child to term. This “expert” doctor claimed that preborn children, even healthy ones, should not be considered capable of surviving or living successfully unless they are wanted.

Speaking about what she witnessed, the Coalition Life staffer who captured the footage stated, “I was shocked… The saddest part was that they carried out a deceased child in what looked like a reusable grocery bag.”

Executive Director of Coalition Life, Brian Westbrook, stated, “The hearse driver, with a few simple words, reinforced what we all already know – abortion doesn’t remove a clump of cells, but it kills a separate individual…‘SOMEONE.’”
